Stephen Timms
Senior Copywriter, High Barnet
Stephen Timms began his career as an art director at Cogent Elliott in Solihull.
Having started as an art director, he switched to the other side of the desk, and became a copywriter.
His move to London and the world of direct marketing came when he joined Wunderman Cato Johnson.
After three years he moved to Harrison Troughton Wunderman – where he worked for five years. In that time, he won over 50 awards, including a Cannes Lions Direct Grand Prix for his AA ‘Hitchhiker’ work, which also won him his first D&AD entry. He later became Associate Creative Director on the agency’s award-winning M&G Investments and Star Alliance accounts.
After five years at HTW, he joined Partners Andrews Aldridge as Head of Copy, where he stayed for six years working on brands as diverse as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and The Sun.
He then jumped above-the-line and moved to TBWA\London where he worked as the lead copywriter on Four Seasons.
He then jumped ship to work as a senior copywriter at OgilvyOne London.
